Fiorucci's story dates back to the 1850s, beginning with Innocenzo Fiorucci, who owned a modest meat shop in Norcia. Every winter, he would journey to Rome to sell Norcinetto, a flavorful dry sausage unique to his hometown. After several years of successful traveling sales, Innocenzo chose to settle in Rome, establishing his own shop dedicated to the art of curing meats traditionally.

One of Innocenzo’s ambitious sons, Cesare, later launched a series of Norcinerie (meat shops inspired by Norcia), rapidly gaining popularity throughout Rome. This set the stage for the Fiorucci family's vision of sharing delectable products globally to come to fruition. In their endeavors, Norcinerie partnered with Campofrio Food Group, an international meat processing firm, to spread the tale of these genuine Italian delicacies far and wide.
