Our Story: Early Origins
Creminelli Fine Meats was established in 2007 by Cristiano Creminelli, Chris Bowler, and Jared Lynch. The Creminelli family has a rich heritage in artisan meat and cheese production, spanning multiple generations. It all began with farm-steading practices before evolving into ownership of Salumificio di Vigliano. Cristiano's maternal grandfather was not just a producer of quality meat products but also served as the personal chef to General Pietro Badoglio, a prominent Italian general during a significant historical period. In the 1970s, Cristiano’s father took over the family business at Salumificio di Vigliano, continuing the family legacy.
Our Mission
From the very beginning, our mission at Creminelli Fine Meats has been to introduce Americans to traditional Italian meat specialties that were otherwise unavailable in the U.S. We aim to enhance the selection of fine meats, providing exciting new culinary experiences for our customers, many of which are only found regionally in Italy.
Ingredients
Our products are crafted from high-quality pork, seasoned with sea salt, natural flavors (including celery powder), organic spices, wines, organic garlic, and starter cultures, all meticulously combined in collagen casings.
Handmade Salami
Each of our meats is handmade, under the watchful eye of Master Artisan Cristiano Creminelli. He is committed to using only the best cuts from select breeds, which are raised on small family farms and fed organic white grains.
Tradition
Cristiano not only adheres to the cherished recipes of the Creminelli family but also embodies a tradition that extends back through generations of Italian heritage. This legacy is now vibrantly alive in America.
Organic Spices
In our production, we selectively incorporate organic spices, following the European approach to ensure they enhance rather than overshadow the rich flavors of our well-marbled, natural pork.
